September 2009:
LSA Toby will commence working at Leith School of Art in Spetember as tutorial assistance during the Monday evening classes. Over time this should lead to a full time tutorial position.

June 2009: ECA Degree Show
Toby will be exhibiting his final year work in the Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show, 2009, which is open to the public from the 13th to 23rd of June. Toby will be personally invigilating in his exhibition space most days during the show.

June 2009: Toby mentioned in the Scotsman

June 2009: JoLoMo Awards
Toby claimed the 2nd prize in the prestigious JoLoMo Awards. The JoLoMo awards are the largest privately funded painting prizes in Britain. This should go some way in explaining how well Toby's work has being received by Internationally recognised Painters and Critics.

June 2009: JoLoMo exhibition
Toby will be exhibiting seven of the ten works he submitted for The JoLoMo Awards in the shortlisted entrants exhibition. The show will be open to the public for the weekend of the 29th to 31st of June at the Lloyds TSB building, George St, Edinburgh.

May 2009: Toby's Interview with the Sunday Times
Toby's work appeared in the Sunday Times on the 24th of this Month. He also took part in a short Interview. You can see the online version by clicking here

April 2009: LSA Anniversary Exhibition
Toby will be showing his painting Strips (incision) as part of Leith School of Art's 20th anniversary exhibition, marking twenty years since the college was founded by Mark and Lottie Cheverton in 1989. The show will consist of work by students and tutors of the college over the last twenty years.

April 2009: JoLoMo Awards
Toby received confirmation that he has been shortlisted along with six other artists for the JoLoMo Awards 2009 (www.jolomofoundation.org). The judging of the shortlisted work will take place in May. Amongst the six judges are Nick Curnow, fine art auctioneer, Lyon & Turnbull; John Leighton, Director-General, National Galleries if Scotland; and John Lowrie Morrison, artist and The JoLoMo Foundation chairman. The winners will be announced during the awards dinner at Kelvingrove Art Museum in June.

February 2009: Macabarama
Toby will be exhibiting work from 2009 (to date) alongside fellow ECA painting student Ernesto Canovas (www.ernestocanovas.com) at The Janet Henderson Gallery, Edinburgh. the show, Macbarama, will run from January 25th to April 25th.
